The series entitled 'Zone' (after the place of non-linear time that forms the setting for Tarkovsky's film 'Stalker') sources digital images of everyday discarded objects, arranged on a tabletop, repeatedly manipulated to suggest altered landscapes. The process involves working back and forth between the painted surface and the digital screen in a kind of 'conversation' through which pockets of difference emerge, suggesting folded space and shifting terrain.
